Palaeontologists in Thailand say they have discovered a new species of dinosaur from fossils found in Kalasin Province in the country's north-east.

The plant-eating dinosaur, named Uragasaurus kalasinensis, is thought to have lived about 150 million years ago.

It had an unusually long neck and measured up to 20m (66ft) - roughly the length of a cricket pitch.

Dr Apirut Nilpanapan from Thailand's Mahasarakham University, the study's lead author, told BBC Thai that the specimen was part of a large fossil collection from a site first identified in 2008, when a local man found fragments resembling serpent scales.

New York City Mayor Mamdani has announced a new "Click-to-Cancel" rule, enforced by the city's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, that requires companies to provide "simple, straightforward subscription cancellation." As the name suggests, the rule forbids companies from letting you breezily click on a few boxes to sign up online, while requiring you to navigate a byzantine network of phone calls and carrier pigeons to unsubscribe. Marvel Rivals' Black Widow rework is here — finally. The erstwhile spy's been in an odd, controversial place since the hero shooter launched in December 2024, occupying a role that barely fit her background in Marvel comics and added little to the Rivals roster. However, season 9, which started on July 10 and added Jubilee to the mix, included a major rework for Black Widow, and she's a blast to play now.

The Schwartz is strong with a small Australian beach town that's having its own "space balls" moment. Six metallic spheres, each roughly twice the size of a basketball, washed ashore over the weekend on Forrest Beach in Queensland. The appearance of the mysterious objects has led to wild theories, UFO jokes and tongue-in-cheek alien promotions from local shops. Authorities, though, have a much more mundane explanation: space junk.

The Dodge Tomahawk always rubbed me the wrong way. It's not the idea of a motorcycle wrapped around an enormous car engine that bothered me, but the fact that it has four wheels. Allen Millyard agreed with that assessment and built a proper two-wheeled, Viper-powered motorcycle of his own. And now, it can be yours, as it's going up for auction at the end of July.

I wouldn't trust just anyone with a one-off custom bike build, especially one built around a Viper engine. At 700 pounds, the engine alone weighs more than many motorcycles, and the entire bike weighs closer to 1,300, according to Silodrome, but this is Allen Millyard we're talking about. I've inspected his work up close at the Barber Museum, and I couldn't even find the seams where he grafted a second cylinder head onto a Kawasaki inline-4 to turn it into a V8. I'd trust his meticulous attention to detail far more than anyone else building motorcycles in a shed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have visited King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday evening that the King and Queen hosted the family at Highgrove House earlier in the afternoon.

The Palace described the meeting at the King's private home in Gloucestershire as a "private family occasion".

It is the first time the King has seen his grandchildren Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, in person in more than four years.

An Israeli drone attack on a hospital in northern Gaza injured staff members, despite a “ceasefire” being in place, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The attack on Friday was at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya. At least three people were hurt in the courtyard and three others nearby, medical sources said.

A research team synthesized and determined the structure of a borate-linked 3D crystalline covalent organic framework, TCTP-COF, via electron diffraction for the first time. These findings will help scientists determine the structure-property relationships for other 3D COFs and facilitate their tuning for advanced applications.

Back in 2015, when “Hamilton” was the toast of Broadway, director Thomas Kail always knew where to find the musical’s creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda when he wasn’t on stage.

“I would hear something coming from the dressing room, and I was like, ‘Is he writing ‘Moana‘ again?'” Kail says.

Indeed, Miranda was using his downtime on “Hamilton” to compose the soundtrack for Disney’s 2016 animated adventure “Moana,” which includes such memorable tunes as “How Far I’ll Go” and “You’re Welcome.” In between rehearsals, Kail remembers Miranda recruiting cast members like Phillipa Soo to record demos of songs before sending them off to the studio.

A man is being held on suspicion of the murder of the former MP Ann Widdecombe as political leaders across the spectrum express shock and horror at her alleged killing.

Widdecombe’s body was found with “serious injuries” by the ambulance service at her home in Haytor, Devon, at 11.40am on Thursday, Devon and Cornwall police said.

Earlier on Friday, the force said it was seeking a white male in connection with the death but later confirmed a 26-year-old white British national had been arrested at an address in Newton Abbot, less than 10 miles from Widdecombe’s home. He remained in police custody while inquiries continued.

President Donald Trump said Friday he will not sign a housing bill that Congress passed in June with overwhelming bipartisan support, setting the stage for it to automatically become law at 12:01 a.m. ET Saturday.

Trump said he was withholding his signature from the housing bill in protest over the Senate's failure to pass the controversial election security legislation known as the SAVE America Act.

The president did not say he would veto the housing bill, which seeks to lower costs for homebuyers and rein in institutional investors.
