From a Fiery Boat Massacre to a Shocking Family Secret, Cape Fear's Season 1 Finale Sticks the Landing Before Making One Frustrating Mistake

After 10 episodes of acid-tripping, toe-eating, grave-sleeping craziness, Cape Fear reaches its inevitable gonzo climax this week with a jam-packed hour filled with fire, wind, rain, and the entire Bowden family put on trial. The full season of the Apple TV series has swung wildly from incredible melodrama to clumsy wheel-spinning, but this week’s finale — titled “The Executioners,” in a nod to the novel on which the whole Cape Fear universe is based — mainly sees the show stick the landing, even if the denouement is a frustrating ploy for a Season 2 renewal.

‘Clueless’ Sequel Series Moving Forward at Paramount+

Cher Horowitz is returning to a screen near you — this time, as a mom of a teen, rather than one herself.

A sequel series to the 1995 cult classic film Clueless has found a home at Paramount+, which has greenlit the project, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The series, once again starring Alicia Silverstone as the Beverly Hills-bred Cher, will revisit the character 30 years after the events of the film and now as the owner of a successful business and a mother, who seems to have it all figured out until her daughter enters high school (cue her feeling again, well, “clueless”).
