George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series is full of memorable deaths, and House of the Dragon is no exception. Readers of the Fire & Blood prequel series, which sets up the main events in Game of Thrones, were particularly looking forward to watching the show depict a certain Kingmaker's end. What they got in season 3 episode 6, however, was a series of nonsensical choices that betray the source material. And the worst part is that the disappointment was avoidable.
