Can China Build a Better Lincoln Corsair? We're About to Find Out

MSRP
By Drew DorianOverview
Lincoln's smallest SUV is the Corsair, a hybrid-powered compact crossover that brings a vibe similar to that of its big-body siblings. Despite its entry-level status, the Corsair Hybrid offers plenty of premium features, including real leather upholstery, a large dashboard display screen, and comfortable front seats with available massage.
Under the hood is a hybrid powertrain that combines a turbocharged four-cylinder with two electric motors for 305 horsepower and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Unlike the previous Corsair Hybrid, this new model is not a plug-in hybrid.
Expert Tip: If a nonhybrid Corsair is your preference, you'll want to pull the trigger on the remaining dealer inventory of 2026 models now. The 2027 model comes only as a hybrid.

What's New for 2027?
Because North American production of the Corsair has ended, the 2027 Corsair Hybrid will be imported from China. As such, it's we'll get the facelifted version of the Corsair sold there, complete with an updated front fascia and interior.

Pricing and Which One to Buy
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
- Hybrid Powertrain: turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors, 305 hp combined
- Transmission: continuously variable automatic
- Drivetrain: all-wheel drive
A hybrid powertrain, making 305 horsepower from a turbocharged four-cylinder and a pair of electric motors, is standard. This is similar to the setup found in the mid-size Lincoln Nautilus, but is a bit more powerful. A continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. When we get a chance to test-drive the updated Corsair Hybrid, we'll update this story with driving impressions and test results.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
First Row: The Corsair boasts a handsome cabin that's similar to those in other SUV offerings from Lincoln, such as the Navigator, Nautilus, and Aviator. It's upholstered in soft leather and offers plenty of features. Adjustable ambient lighting, 24-way power-adjustable seats, and a head-up display are all optional.
Second Row: Second-row passenger space is ample for two adults to get comfy without rubbing elbows; three riders would be a squeeze. The seats are covered in upscale upholstery similar to what’s in the front, and the outboard seats can be equipped with heating elements, too.
Cargo Capacity: The Corsair's cargo bay is generously sized. We managed to fit eight carry-on suitcases behind the rear seats. Lowering the rear seatbacks opens up enough room for 21 cases in total.
Infotainment and Connectivity
- Infotainment: 13.2-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital gauge display
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Audio System: 9-speaker stereo (standard), 14-speaker Revel stereo (optional)
A large multi-display panel adorns much of the Corsair's dashboard. In front of the driver is a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, while a 13.2-inch touchscreen serves as the infotainment display. Bluetooth and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are expected to be standard. The standard stereo is a nine-speaker setup and a 14-speaker Revel stereo is optional.
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Lincoln's standard powertrain warranty is more generous than its European rivals, but it lacks a complimentary scheduled maintenance plan, which is standard on the Volvo XC60 Hybrid.
- Limited Warranty: four years or 50,000 miles
- Powertrain Warranty: six years or 70,000 miles
- Hybrid Component Warranty: eight years or 100,000 miles
- Complimentary Maintenance: none

- Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
