LiquidPiston Crowdfunding Round Closes Oct. 15
- Reg CF Investment Opportunity Closes Oct. 15: LiquidPiston has raised more than $2.7 million through its current Regulation CF funding round. Individual investors are able to participate until Oct. 15, and the round has a $5 million ceiling.
- Potential for $10.5 Million in Non-Dilutive Army Funding: The U.S. Army will match, in a 2:1:1 ratio, up to $3.5 million raised in this round with SBIR funding through the Army CATALYST program, if LiquidPiston also secures $3.5 million in additional funding from a non-SBIR Army transition partner. A total of $10.5 million in Army funding could complement this raise, supporting the development of an auxiliary power system for use in Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2).
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LiquidPiston, Inc., a leading innovator of compact, efficient engine technology and hybrid power systems, today announced individual investors have until Oct. 15 to participate in its Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) investment round.
To date, the round has raised more than $2.7 million toward its $3.5 million goal, with a $5 million ceiling. This $3.5 million raise, if matched by a U.S. DoD transition partner, could unlock $7 million in matching funding through the U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) CATALYST program. The raise can be complemented by up to $10.5 million in total non-dilutive Army funding, which would be applied to the development and testing of an auxiliary power system to support Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2). LiquidPiston was selected for the CATALYST award in August 2024.
The patented X-Engine™ from LiquidPiston addresses the limitations of traditional internal combustion engines with a compact, lightweight design that features just two primary moving parts. With utility across defense, aerospace, marine, UAV, urban mobility and automotive markets, the engine platform is advancing toward industrialization, commercialization and licensing at scale.
