Marvel Rivals Key Facts

What's In the Latest Marvel Rivals Update?

Marvel Rivals Store Update, August 13

This patch ships with no server downtime.

Storm’s bundled addition didn’t arrive without controversy as NetEase was pushed to address accusations of racism from some members of its community regarding the level of spotlight Marvel’s black characters receive when compared to the showcase white characters get upon release.

What Season Is Marvel Rivals In Right Now?

We're still technically in Season 9.5 aka The Mystery of Thebes after the addition of The Hood. The Aug. 13 update delivers the Storm "Sacred Skies" bundle and a limited-time return of the Loki "Lady Loki" bundle, which is an addition to the store and not the game overall. After massive changes in 9.5, no one should have expected much more from the next update.

When Does the Current Marvel Rivals Season End?

While NetEase hasn't given a definitive date, many speculate we'll see a new season arriving on September 4 or 11. Traditionally, the seasons have lasted either 56 or 63 days.

NetEase has not confirmed an end timestamp, but the Season 9.5 roadmap runs through a September 11 Season 10 launch.

Who Is the Newest Marvel Rivals Hero?

The Hood, who is a Vanguard, came in on Aug. 7, 2026. He brings the street hustle with a taste of dark magic. Word from the community is that while effective, he doesn't push Magneto for the title of top in the class. Still, a cool character with high usability.
