Entering and manipulating dreams may sound like science fiction, but for Freeman Hrabowski Scholar Walter Gonzalez, these scenarios aren't confined to the big screen.

72 Hours

Netflix

It’s a common notion that just because something is popular, that doesn’t mean it’s good. That is especially true on streaming services, and often on Netflix, where it is certainly the case today. Netflix has just released a new Kevin Hart film, 72 Hours, and it has quickly become one of the worst-reviewed comedies in the history of the service.

What I'm hearing from energy insiders

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

The classic lyric from The Who's masterpiece "Won't Get Fooled Again" certainly applies to the global energy markets. The 'boss' is a headline about the breaking of any fragile peace around Iran and every time oil prices fall, the markets seem to get fooled (again).

‘I Want Your Sex’ Works Out the Kinks of a BDSM Relationship

Wilde Life

Whips, chains, fetish gear, disastrous threesomes, Olivia Wilde’s performance artist pegging an assistant — Gregg Araki’s envelope-pushing rom-com has it all

The current party line around Gen Z is that they have ditched sex en masse in favor of more platonic relationships, thus leaving them more time and energy to lecture their elders about how we’ve monumentally fucked everything up. Think about all the chats you’ve ever shared with someone. A diagnosis you were trying to understand before the appointment, a contract clause you didn’t want to bill a lawyer for, a message to your ex you rewrote four times. You hit the share button, and it sends a link. It also publishes a page.

I drip-feed roguelikes into my gaming schedule: one too many total resets and my brain could break beyond repair. I always knew this wasn't an unusual approach but I didn't ever think it would be an opinion I'd share with one of my favourite filmmakers, Guillermo del Toro. But the world is a strange place.
